Regional Skills Event, Plymouth 2026

A Squad of 12 SDA Skills Divers travelled to @plymdivingclub today to compete in the @swimengland South-West Skills Competition😎 Our divers had a fantastic day with Lily B securing 🥇 in the B Female event and Zak B with 🥇 in the Boys C event 💪 and many of the team scoring huge PBs😎

A squad of 8 SDA Elite/Elite Potential Divers travelled to Southend to compete in the South East Regional Elite Competition. Our divers had an amazing day with many of the team scoring PB's and qualifying for the Next Generation Championships that took place in April. 😍

England Youth Development Camp & International News

🇬🇧 England Youth Development Camp 🇬🇧

Well Done to our 3 Divers Kate, Hollie and Hunter who attended the 3-Day Swim England Youth Development Camp in March. The second camp of 2026 took place in Leeds Diving, with some great technical development and educational workshops developing skills that the divers will bring back into their training 💪.

It is fantastic to have our club represented at a National Level by these amazing divers and we also give thanks to our committed parents/long distance taxi drivers 🤩 @thequayssouthampton

🇬🇧 International News 🇬🇧

Well done to Imogen Poole representing Great Britain 🇬🇧 at the 9 Nations Cup in Stockholm 🇸🇪. At 9 Nations Immy delivered a fantastic performance across the competition, coming away with a 2nd 🥈 in the Girls B 3m and also teamed up with @sheffield_diving's Izzy Diacon to secure another 2nd 🥈 in the Girls Synchro. She then went on to represent GBR in Germany at the Dresden Youth Meet 🇩🇪 securing 10th place in the 1m Springboard and 7th place in both Platform & 3m Springboard. Immy and Izzy also picked up a 4th in the Synchro event. A great all-round result on the international stage 🤩

While our amazing junior team have been competing in Edinburgh, life member, Leon Baker, was competing on the World scene in Windsor, Canada, making finals on 3m (and leading the event after the first round) with some outstanding dives, including 81.60 on 5154b, 81.90 on 5156b and an incredible 84 points on 307c in the team event, helping GBR to take silver! 💪👏🥈🤩

Congratulations to our masters diver Ian Hammond who picked up two gold and a silver at the Great British Diving Federation Spring Masters at Luton in April 💪👏🥇🥇🥈

Hampshire Awards

A Clean Sweep for Diving and SDA at the Hampshire County Amateur Swimming Association Awards 🏆

Ella Swete was awarded the Napier Trophy, which is an award for the best single performance during the year (across all aquatic disciplines). She received this award off the back of her 2 Gold Medals and a Silver 🥇🥇🥈 representing @swimengland 🇬🇧 at the 2025 Roma Junior Diving Cup 🇮🇹

Coach Matthew Roberts received the Jan Alderman Memorial Trophy for Hampshire Coach of the year 🏆😎

While County Diving Manager Colette Kutty was presented the Presidents Plate for her service to the county. After many years in the role Colette has decided to step down and hand the reigns over to Gary Prewitt. A huge thanks to Colette for her service 😎

"We now heading into our final stage of the season, we have had some great performances at Next Gen and Internationally for GB at Stockholm and Germany, and now it is time for our Age group and Skills teams to finish the season strong for SDA. It is also great to see masters success at the spring masters and we have recently hosted Regional age groups once again in Southampton which was a huge success for the divers, as well as our support team and volunteers for helping ensure everything ran so smoothly, this a great lead into hosting the National skills finals in July in Southampton later this year, which is the first time a national event has come to Southampton in over 10 years" - Matt Roberts, Head Coach
